Founded by Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr. in 1971, Parthenon Pavilion is the oldest and largest private psychiatric hospital in Middle Tennessee. Parthenon Pavilion began as a unit in Park View Hospital and was HCA’s second psychiatric hospital.
